FERRARI SpA, is a manufacturer / sports car manufacturer based in Maranello, Italy.Founded by Enzo Ferrari in 1928 as Scuderia Ferrari. The company initially concentrated on contract drivers and manufactures race car. However, since 1947 began producing luxury road car for general consumption. Throughout its history, the famous Ferrari racing following a few contests, especially Formula One, the arena in which they have achieved great success.After going through years of struggles, Enzo Ferrari sold the Ferrari sports car division to the Fiat group in 1969 to sustain the company. However, Enzo Ferrari keep control of its racing division until his death in 1988 at age 90. Before he died he still had time to launch a Ferrari F40, which is known as one of the best cars produced by Ferrari.
Companies Ferrari also runs a merchandising division to allow trademark affixed in a number of products such as sunblock sunglasses, pens, electronic equipment, perfume, clothing, sophisticated bikes , watches, mobile phones to laptops.
In 2007, the newspaper Financial Times put Ferrari at the top of the top of the list of 100 best companies of Europe.
